my philosophy ...

All action arises from stillness.
All music from silence.

The greatest potential for healing is in nature, in our relationships to nature and to each other.  There is a natural, innate impulse toward health in each of us.

Because we're human, it's in our nature to struggle at times with our emotions and experience inner conflict.  Personal pain and turmoil does not have to result in disability and disease, or maladaptive responses to life stressors, but can lead to that triumph of the human spirit that is our creativity, our ability to become more consciously aware, and our ability to change.

There are times when we need to look inward.  There are times when we need support in order to look at our lives, or to process something that has happened or is happening in our lives.  Therapy serves its' purpose by providing safety, protected space, and a particular quality of non-judgment.  When it's time for inner, contemplative work, its' purpose is to regain our confidence in life ... to trust life's unfolding so that we can live fully and allow ourselves to be changed by it.
